Officially the last body composition training session, the end of the 12 week journey. I felt quite heavy and emotional, and lacking 'the fight' for a good portion of training tonight, but when Paul arrived and said he felt quite similar it helped me feel less alone with the feelings and I was able to push on. So much so I hit a new personal best at the end of the session, 80kg RDL (Romanian deadlift) for 20 reps, this is just over the weight I was at the very beginning of the body composition (78.6kg). Not only that, but I've never approached anyone to take a video of me training before and this felt like a huge step, especially as I was training in my new clothing of not hiding. But as I knew I'd just hit a personal best, and that my negative mind most likely wouldn't let me remember the achievement for very long - I approached James to catch it on camera, and I'm relieved I did because it's already so hard to believe it really happened - nor can I believe it's me.

I’m Rachel, member of Crossfit gym Priority 6, challenging myself to new extremes and as far from my ‘comfort zone’ as possible. I’ve signed up to The OC Method’s 12 week Body Composition, this blog will keep track of progress, as well as a reference tool for training, nutrition, photos, measurements, session plans and so forth. I can’t wait to find out how far I can push myself, physically and mentally, hopefully smashing a few psychological barriers in the process.
