I’m Rachel, member of Crossfit gym Priority 6, challenging myself to new extremes and as far from my ‘comfort zone’ as possible. I’ve signed up to The OC Method’s 12 week Body Composition, this blog will keep track of progress, as well as a reference tool for training, nutrition, photos, measurements, session plans and so forth. I can’t wait to find out how far I can push myself, physically and mentally, hopefully smashing a few psychological barriers in the process.

DAY 63 - WEEK 9 WEIGH IN
I had a bit of a shock when my weight had gained by 0.5 kg since last week. As much as I tried not to let it happen in my head, I crashed in to a negative spiral believing that I must have done something wrong or possibly the single glass of red wine and two slices of bread that I'd had the previous week on Wednesday because it was such a bad day. Coach OC did his best to reassure me that I had done nothing wrong, and most likely because the weather is so warm and humid that my body is retaining additional water. It can be so frustrating when despite all the logic, I still believe it's somehow my fault, my failure and I'm not trying hard enough or training hard enough. I think knowing there are only 3 weeks left, any weight gain feels like a catastrophic failure... so my meals suffered somewhat during the day as a result unfortunately.
